Meta Ads: Pre-Launch Checklist

Before running ads on Facebook or Instagram through AdsGo.ai, it's essential to complete the required setup. Whether you’re an eCommerce store, app developer, or brand builder — this guide ensures your Meta account is ready to launch.

✅ Essentials for All Meta Advertisers

To advertise via Meta using AdsGo.ai, you must prepare the following key assets:

1. *Meta Personal Account

Used for access and asset ownership.
➡️ Create an account

2. *Facebook Page (Fan Page)

Your ads will be shown as posted from this Page.

  • Must relate to your business/product

  • Should be actively maintained
    ➡️ Create a Page

3. Meta Business Manager (BM)

Used to manage your business assets like ad accounts and Pages.
➡️ Create Business Manager

❗ BM with limited advertising history or restrictions may not be eligible for ad creation or publishing.

4. *Facebook Ad Account

Required to run any ads.

  • Your AdsGo.ai optimization manager will send an OE form for account setup.

  • Clients must fill in:

    • Number of accounts

    • Ad account time zone

    • Fan Page(s)

    • Target website or app link

    • Facebook App ID (for apps)

    • Company name & business license (if needed)


If you would like to use your personal Meta Ad Account, please follow the steps below to review and update your Meta asset configuration to ensure everything is set up correctly:

  • Complete Basic Ad Account Setup

In Ads Manager > Click the gear icon (⚙️) or go to Account Settings.

Then you need to add your payment method according to Facebook's instructions 👇

Please follow Meta’s instructions to link your bank card. Once the binding is successfully completed, the page will display as shown in the image below:

5. Meta Pixel (for website instructions tracking)

Needed to track events and optimize for conversions.

🛒 eCommerce Setup (Web Stores)

If You Use Shopify

Connect your store to Meta via Shopify to sync product catalogs and run conversion-optimized ads.


Requirements:

  • Live store with no password

  • Basic or higher Shopify plan
    ➡️ Connect Shopify with Facebook

If You Don’t Use Shopify

Use Meta Commerce Manager to manually upload your product catalog:

  • Create a catalog

  • Upload product info (title, image, price, URL)

  • Connect Pixel for tracking

📱 App Advertising Setup

To promote your app on Meta:

1. Create a Meta App

2. Configure Meta SDK in your app

3. Set up app events (installs, in-app purchases, etc.)

4. Link App to Ad Account

In your Facebook Developer console:

  • Go to My Apps

  • Select your App

  • Go to Settings > Advanced

  • Scroll to Advertising Accounts

  • Add your Ad Account ID and Save

🔧 Optional (But Recommended)

  • Verify Business in BM to improve account credibility.

  • Create multiple Pages or Ad Accounts if scaling across products.

  • Assign correct roles to team members in BM for access control.
